Exam Structure of CTET and its Preparation

  1. All questions in CTET Exam will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), each carrying one mark, with four alternatives out of which one answer will be correct. There will be no negative marking. The questions asked will be General and basic, study the NCERT books of Class I to V and Geography books of Class VI to VIII. Before the preparation of an exam, it is important to have a clear understanding of its exam pattern and the syllabus. Candidates preparing for Central Teachers Eligibility Test (CTET) must go through the latest syllabus & exam pattern. Check some important questions on Child Development and Pedagogy Section. CTET 2020 will be conducted in several languages in various cities, all over the country. As candidates don’t have much time for preparation and this is the time when candidates need to pay attention to revision and practice.
  2. Watch the Daily News Clips and read the newspaper every day.
  3. Prepare for the previous year’s sample papers and questions papers available online.

standard of questions in CTET- The test items in Mathematics and Environmental Studies will focus on the concepts, problem-solving abilities and pedagogical understanding of the subjects. The test items on Child Development and Pedagogy will focus on educational psychology of teaching and learning relevant to the age group of 6-11 years. The test items in Mathematics and Science and Social Studies/Social Science will focus on the concepts, problem solving abilities and pedagogical understanding of these subjects. The test items of Mathematics and Science will be of 30 marks each.

CTET Preparation for Environmental Studies-

  • Watch the Daily News Clips and read the newspaper every day.
  • Join online test series where the questions are asked related to the topic.
  • Time management is important to attempt the questions, as they all appear easy but answering can be tricky sometimes as proximate data is available.
  • Join online test groups for preparation and keep referring to the blogs related to CTET
  • The questions asked will be General and basic, study the NCERT books of Class I to V and Geography books of Class VI to VIII.

CTET Preparation Tips for Science by IFTE institute-

  1. NCERT books from class I to VIII must be studies to perform well.
  2. Solve all problems given in Science books from class VI to VIII.
  3. Questions on pedagogy and practical problem-solving questions will be asked.
  4. Join online test groups to prepare for the science section.
  5. Questions on unit conversion and basic of cells formation will be asked.
  6. Very few questions on chemistry.
  7. Only 30 questions will be asked in this section of MCQ type which will be from basic class VI to VIII syllabus.
